Joel Beider

Joel Beider established Beider IP in 2018, after working for 11 years at one of Israel's leading IP Law firms. 
Joel holds a B.Sc. in Physics with Medical Physics from University College London, and an LL.B. from Hebrew University. Joel is licensed to practice as a patent attorney before the Israel patent office and is a licensed attorney at law. Joel specializes in the technical fields of medical devices, medical imaging, computer software, artificial intelligence, physics, mechanical devices, and consumer products.
In addition to general patent prosecution and portfolio management, Joel enjoys assisting clients in the strategic planning of their IP portfolios, based upon their business objectives, R&D objectives, patentability/freedom-to-operate issues, and general analysis of competitors' portfolios.  Joel has a wealth of experience in performing patentability and freedom to operate searches, as well the resultant analysis, resolution of potential issues, preparation of opinion letters, etc.  Joel has assisted numerous clients who have undergone IP due diligence, and has also assisted investors in their due diligence efforts.
Joel currently serves as Chair of the Israel Committee of the American IP Law Association (AIPLA), and is an active member of the Israel Patent Attorneys Association (IPAA) and the International Association for the Protection of Intellectual Property (AIPPI).
